本課是《新標準英語》小學三年級起始用四年級上冊Module 3Unit 1 What are they doing?本課的主要語言功能是談論人們在公園中的活動，并描述正在發生的行為或動作。主要句型是“What are they doing? They’re v-ing”的學習與操練。本課的課文情境是Daming帶著Amy坐公共汽車，路上看到很多有趣的場景，Amy也對其抱以極大的興趣，并通過What are they doing？來詢問Daming，Daming用句型They’re v-ing.逐一說明，從而讓Amy這個英國孩子拆陪搏了解了公園中人們所做的具有中國特色的事情。這一題材非常生活化，是學生感興趣的話題之一，它能使學生能學以致用。
二、亂碧學情分析
小學四年級的學生在經過一年的英語學習后已形成了良好的英語聽、說、讀、寫的習慣，也初步具備了一定的聽說能力，有強烈的表現欲，善模仿、好表演,對英語學習興趣濃厚，但不能持久。本節課學習的內容是What are theydoing?有關現在進行時的運用，學生接觸過一些動詞加ing的句子，如I like swimming. She likes playing football. She’s reading a book.學生能夠基本套用固定句型，模仿說出相關句子。只要教師在教學中給予學生充分的展示機會和絕對的信任和鼓勵，那么每個學生的聽說能力都會得到她發揮的。
